Harber, Robertson and Lamptons open up a can of ‘whip-um’

After seven birdies and an eagle, Jimmy Harber’s team can’t believe they only shot 9-under on nine holes Thursday. They missed a put on the straightaway hole number five, or they ‘woulda’ been 10.

That’s why his teammates, Greg Robertson, Jana and Bill Lampton were all grins when they got back to the clubhouse.

Raymond Taylor’s 7-under par score was good enough to win seven times out of ten, but not Thursday. Taylor had help from big Ern, Dave Clay and Billy Dale.

Krystle and Ernie Taylor made several great shots on Stan Stamper’s team, with other good shots coming from Chris Maytubby and Kyle Nickel. They carded a 6-under score as did the team of Randy Mills, Edwin Dees, Charlie Slaton and Melinda Slaton.

Also in the hunt were:
• Ronnie Raper, Tyrone, Tony Marris and Larry Ranollo.
• Zac Harber, Wes Adamson, Tom Harber and Brian McNutt.
• Jon Ranollo, Leslie Clay, Chris Methvin, Trevor Methvin and Mel Hayworth.
• Bones Parker, Terrell Davidson, Tommy Payne, Jim Robertson and Jimmy Malone.
